Face it, most Americans think the government is in a financial mess due to numerous reasons, and many are to blame, not just one particular group.
So do you trust that same government to manage MORE of your hard earned money?
Oh and even if they did give it to the lower income people, (spreading the wealth) would you trust that this is where it would actually go most of the time? Personally, I wouldn’t!

Well I don’t really get how they can spread the wealth since if they tax people more that money is gonna be used for various government programs and the people will never see that money.
Unless of course they make up new welfare programs then you still have to prove your eligible for the program so most people still won’t be able to see that money.

Personally, I think our tax on labor was approved unconstitutionally.

and you trusted corporate America with trickle down and tax cut after tax cut to keep things going here. Well, they took those tax cuts and increased their salaries 2, 3, 4, 500% while average worker salaries stagnated and even decreased in some sectors. They took those tax cuts and tax loop holes to companies overseas to compete in the global economy. Now, for agruments sake lets say that 5% of the population is wealthy and growing while 95% is falling behind. Will the economy recover and the appropiate programs be started if we put our trust in corporate America? It is to the benefit of the rich that the 95% become customers again. Also, the current graduated income tax system in place since 1916 actually redistributes wealth. Has to be done because a purely capitalist system will collaspe with a top heavy wealthy class. By the same token a purely socialist system is totally unfair so their has to be a balance and that balance is adjusted based on teh countries current situations and needs.
now if they taxed more and gave it away instead of creating progressive programs then by all means I’d fight it.

Lets put it like this every four years when we elect a president we are not actually choosing the next leader of this great nation, we are just picking the king thief the head of the other thieves (I.e politicians) who’s gonna lead them to put their hands on our pockets.
