If there are schools (elementary to high school) in the Delta region of Arkansas with leaking ceilings and torn books and there are new schools costing over 30 million dollars being built in Northwestern, do you think the money being spent in NWA is being spent wisely and this is fair or do you think the money being spent in NWA and all the other regions in Arkansas should be put in one pot and distributed to the needy regions first?

spreading the wealth = extortion
Liberals don’t get this because they have no morals.

Since you feel that way, you should get your paycheck (assuming you actually earn one) and spread it among everyone who answers this futile question.

I don’t expect to receive free money from wealthier people, I should be expected to work and earn my money. And I don’t want my money going to someone that sits around drinking beer all day and doesn’t earn a dime. Everyone should be able to keep what they earn.

I think there should be tax cuts for the middle class and that the top 5% should go back to paying taxes before Bush cut them.
But I disagree for people to get a tax credit when they don’t even pay income taxes (everyone pays payroll taxes i.e. social security)
And everyone should remember there’s only two guarantees in life…that is death and taxes

Don’t get mad when your wish comes true remember the people making 250K provide most of our jobs and they will pass that tax onto us. Plus that #250k is not set in stone my guess will be 125K

The usual implication of the term is that someone has earned something that he does not get, while someone else gets something that he has not earned. I can see no moral justification for this under any circumstances.

The only real problem is the fact that right-wingers think of currency as wealth, which is why most of them will continue to work hard for scraps of the people who actually have wealth.
Redistributing wealth is what happens when the working class decide communism is more favorable, because wealth concentrates at the top.
That is when they kick in the rich man’s door, and drag them out in the street putting gasoline soaked tired over their head and setting them on fire.
After that, they divide the real property up between themselves, before the guy who previously owned it, stops screaming while burning alive.
This is redistribution of wealth.
Redistribution of currency is only compensating the labors of society, for the lost value of their time spent laboring, that the rich jusy write down as profit.
We could just print more and give it to the laboring classes, but that would end up devaluing the currnecy and adding to the problem.
So we can either depend on employers to raise employee pay to compensate out of the kindness of their hearts, or we can do it through taxation.
Either way you look at it, as socialism or a natural order of a healthy economy, the fat remains that without the middle or lower classes having money to spend on something other than necessities, most of the rich people and their wealth will cease to exist.
Currency really retains no value, its value is percieved as it moves through the economy, and een welfare provides that cash flow.

Those are choices your state legislature has to make.
What I don’t like is taking the money I work hard for and handing it to someone who won’t stay off of crack, because a government bureaucrat deemed the crack head is more worthy of the money I work for than my family is.

Why do always people say that Obama wants to “spread the wealth” when it’s a simple audio clip that has no real bearing on his current policies?
Does an extra 6% extra taxes on income brackets of +$250,000 means “spreading the wealth” ?

Spreading the wealth is what happens with your payroll taxes each paycheck. The “kitty” or pool of taxes is spread between the earmarks of the acting administration. So for the other posters who answered that since they work, they should not have to pay for beer swilling types, guess what, your taxes do just that already.
Specific to your question, there are two schools of thought. Your community and your State should be the first providers of the monies for education in every location. The belief that National endowments should augment that is where the division lies. Should the Constitutional authority of States rights, and responsibilities be primary, or should more be given nationally to communities where a deficit in ability to pay for the same level of education override that concern?
No matter where you find yourself on this divide, you must know that your federal tax dollars are spent each day in “spreading the wealth.” The question in this election is where do you want those dollars spent? Iraq or the USA?
