95% of people will be better off and the ones asked to sacrifice a little more are already so very wealthy. the rich rarely send their children to fight our wars..their children do not die on the battlefield not come home mentally ill forever or suffer post dramatic shock or lose their legs..they do not worry at every news report that says a helicopter in Iraq was shut down or collapse tot he floor when they hear their child died and they will never see them again..no it is always the poor..many who enlist to try to get college or cause they have no opportunity at home due to impoverished conditions..=it is the least the rich can o to give to their country’s benefit a little extra in taxes..someday God will show them the person who was able to go to college with a grant cause they gave up some money or the person with no home who got into subsidized housing and got their kids off the street or who did not kill themselves as the debts eased a little sparing their family a lifetime of grief or the person who got to go to a better safer school and reach their potential despite being born into poverty or the veterans who has a better VA hospital to help when they lost a limb or the women able to collect child support from a deadbeat dad cause the child support enforcement programs are not cut as repub did with the reverse robin hood bill or see the senior who was able to get a food program and not have to chose between meds and food. real people will be helped by the few who have been blessed so much with their wealth.

We will all be able to maybe get better roads, fire, police, schools and sop forth. Most Americans support this as we all have an innate sense of injustice..my bible teaches love the poor for you will be judged fit for heaven or hell by how you treat them and to do unto others as you would like them to do to you..the best rich people are those who want to contribute to their country and help others…government programs and tax cuts for the middle class help way more people than any one rich guy could on his own.

Jesus’ words and parables show he supported social justice..he talked about the apostles pooling and sharing all they had..those with more given some of what they had to those with less and all working together to live the most holy lives they could..if Jesus’ the wisest man who ever lived taught this, then I believe it.

Hanging onto every penny of your wealth is very costly in the long run.

Any amount of money taken from me already pisses me off especially when I did not give it to them. It is like stealing.

Americans get tired of getting the short end of the stick and having to fight to survive through today’s economy. It is hard enough to keep our own family fed.

When people start taking money from me without my permission - that’s less food and income to pay my bills with.

The poor need to get off their butts and GET A JOB and support themselves for a change.

If I want to give money to someone, I want to do it myself personally, that way I can see that the money was given and why the money was given. I don’t trust the government to make that choice for me.

Obama walked down Joe’s street campaigning and Joe decided to ask a fair question. Look at what he, his VP and the media have done to poor Joe, just for asking!

What Obama said to Joe would be the same as asking Michael Phelps to give up a few of his gold medals to someone who doesn’t swim, because they will never have a chance of earning one themselves!

Some people are not to lazy to get a job. Its just hard getting one and its also hard trying to get a good one with good pay. I do think thats spreading the wealth is good. It means that everyone will have enough money and nobody will have to suffer. I don’t want to take from the rich people, but I still don’t want to see people starve and depressed.

Just think about it, if you hit rock bottom wouldn’t you want some help?

Spreading the wealth around is good if you are on the receiving end. It’s not good at all for the rest of us taxpayers making us pay for the bums and people that don’t like to work. What it actually does is make everyone poor.

Some hardworking person who will use at as a boost to brush up on some skills and get a job— sure, here–take my money!

From what I have independently studied about Obama’s tax policy- this isn’t the case. I doubt you are the few 1%. Why do you people think that if you make more you shouldn’t pay more taxes? Why do I have to pay a majority of the taxes? My family is lower middle class….so since we aren’t as “successful” or “work as hard” we have to pay more? Not fair! I have worked since I was 15 yrs old. I paid my way thru college…how did I become an elitist, socialist, un american? I pay my f’ing taxes.
