Tax the rich has always been rhetoric. Everytime they tax the rich my taxes go up. And by nobodys standard am I a financially rich or wealthy man.

So now we are beginning to reap the rewards of cutting taxes and increasing spending. Who was it that labeled Regan’s “voodoo economics?” Oh yea, that was Bush Sr. guess his idiot kid didn’t get the memo.

There are no candidates suggesting we redistribute wealth via taxes. There are some that are talking about policy changes to strengthen and grow the middle class, and wouldn’t we all be better off with fewer people living in poverty? Doesn’t that truly affect every one of us? If you think not, imagine how safe you will be in your gated communities when 50% of people in the U.S. fall below the poverty level. And with no type of safety net to help them, there is not much left to them other than taking what they need. Maybe it is time to re-read “A Tale of Two Cities” by Dickens.

My dad used to own houses and apartment buildings that he rented. If property taxes went up, he raised the rent. If his insurance went up, he raised the rent. If anything related to those properties cost him money, he raised the rent. He made the same profit margin no matter what. All businesses are run that way. You tell me who pays. The people renting. The people buying the product. The lower the taxes my dad paid, the lower the rent was. He was told one time that he had to rent to people on public assistance. He worked a deal with the local fire department and burnt the building down so the fire department could train with it. Who made out there. Less housing in the community for rent, rent goes up.

Redistribution of wealth is just a Conservative BS term. Every time there is a tax increase they start screaming that. Well hell, isn’t a tax break for the wealthy the same thing? If I got a 5 % tax cut and was making 30k a year and you got a 5% tax cut and was making 100k a year, who got the better of that redistribution you think? And by the way, tax cuts and tax increases have not helped or hurt the middle class much. We are pretty much ignored.

We bear the burden of buying power for the Democrats.
They tax us to pour more money into social programs that benefit their party at election time.
I am in favor of a FLAT TAX.
EVERY able-bodied American should work and pay taxes.

1. NO president ever EVER cut taxes during a war! this has cause serious financial problems to our country, we have a debt of over 9 trillion , if this dosnt not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that supply side economics/Reaganomics does not work than i don’t know what does, also free trade does not work, this has caused millions of good paying jobs to relocate outside of the us just to turn around and sell their goods back to us, we need to tax the wealthy to get our country back on track. they should pay mores since they have benefited more on our system and use our infrastructure more. We need to reinstate all our tariffs that we used to have , a mirror tariff would be a good start added with the penalization of companies who outsource jobs than try to sell their goods back to the u.s

More of your money is going to lower the taxes of the rich than is going to help the poor. Much more. Lowering taxes on the wealthy does not stimulate the economy. We are in a recession which has been building for some time.
