Why are neocons against increased wealth for middle class workers yet support more wealth for rich?
Chi Guy asked:
They seem happy when McCain speaks of sharing more wealth with the wealthy who pay a smaller percentage in income tax than middle income earners.

So is spreading the wealth among the top 1% better than allowing middle income earners to keep more of their taxable income?

To the neocons it is all about making sure that the top 1% get more and the remaining 99% become a cheap work force that they can get to do whatever they want.

according to Republcians:
the top 1 percent wealthy make America what it is, they are the only one’s that work hard… everyone else are just lazy bums that are lucky that the rich let them live here…

I’m personally for more wealth for all. A tax cut would accomplish this.

so letting upper class people keep their own money is sharing wealth in the upper class now.
liberal minds are amazing aren’t they
I would be embarrassed to write something as asinine as this

Lies and more lies.
First, the richest 10% pay 70% of the nation’s income taxes per IRS tax data.
The rich do not pay a smaller percentage in income taxes, they pay more.
Republicans are not against “increased wealth” for the middle class. We celebrate the middle class making money and increasing their wealth.
What we object to is the gov’t confiscating even more money then the 70% the rich already pay, and turning around and giving it to the less wealthy that have done nothing to earn it.
Nobody is spreading wealth to the top 1%. They are earning it themselves.
Do you not understand the concept of earning wealth vs. confiscating it???

Is there anyone against the wealth for the middle class? I believe of every hardworking middle class people will deserve to become wealthy if they know how to handle their finances! Conservative people are more productive than democrats, just take a look at those States under Democrat including Obama’s City! How are they doing? Did you ever ask your self why those citizens cannot look after themselves? Most of them if not criminals , they are drug addicts alcoholics or they want every hardworking people spread the wealth! If Obama increase taxes for the majority of tax payers, most of them are operating a small business, in time of economic difficulties, more and more people will be unemployed! I believe of lesser taxes for the small businesses since they are the one hiring workers! Socialist like you will destroy the capitalism that gives opportunity to every citizens who wants to live the American dream!

Conservatives are not against increased wealth for middle class workers. We are FOR the increased wealth of ALL classes. That “top 1%” that you are referring to are the risk takers of this society, and by taking those risks, provide the means for others to increase their wealth as well. Raising the tax rates on the top 1% isn’t going to make anyone wealthier. All it will do is make the top 1% less wealthy. Will it benefit you life for the government to confiscate more money from those who are successful? I doubt it. Why do you want to punish those that succeed? I understand the need for taxes, and agree that they are necessary, but, tell me what is fair about our current tax system, where 40% of us, myself included, pay no income tax, while those that succeed in business pay nearly all of the taxes? Warren Buffet has no problem with raising the tax rates because he pays no income tax. His money comes from capital gains, as does most of the democratic (liberal) supporters of raising the tax rates on those making over $250k. How about this, we keep the Bush tax cuts, totally, and have our senators and representatives run the government’s budget the the same way you and I have to. When the money gets tight, prioritize what is most important, pay for that and cut something out. Just once I’d like to see a bill go through congress, all the way to the president’s desk, without some pork project getting an insane amount of money to BUY the support of a senator or congressman. Granted, some of these projects may be worthwhile, but let them put a bill for that project up for a vote instead of sneaking it in the text of another bill, or hidden in some amendment to another important bill (like was done to the transportation bill, the defense appropriations bill etc. Those bill are too important to fill with a bunch of pork because someone thinks that the president is desperate to sign it)

in 1970 CEO’s made 25 times what the average worker made. Today , they make 500 time what the average worker makes. That IS wealth redistribution. Everyone should be insulted by this. Including neocons. What I find amazing is the number of neocons that stick up for those in the top 1%. Do they actually think that those in the top 1% give a crap about them?????
